1998 Lakland Joe Osborn 5-string
1998 Lakland Joe Osborn 5-string jazz bass from the NYC Aguilar Artist Loft Collection
This was the 4th Joe Osborn 5-string to be built.
If there is a nicer passive 5-string jazz bass anywhere, I have not seen it yet.
This bass has been gently used, played by pros, and is in outstanding condition, with only a few minor dings and scratches, all just superficial.
The action and neck feel are absolutely sublime, as comfortable as can be.
The inca silver is a rare and beautiful color.
The rosewood board is adorned with beautiful maple position marker inlays, a very nice elegant artistic touch.
I have been very tempted to keep this one for myself. But for the time being, I am offering it here in case someone would like to give it the play time it deserves rather than having it mostly sit in a collection where it would rarely get taken out of the case.
It has a fresh set of strings is professionally set up and ready for the largest venues or major label studios right out of the box. Grab it while you can before I come to my senses and take down this listing.
