Marleaux Betra 4 - Headless 4-string bass - Super fun and KILLER tone!

John Fox Bass is thrilled to now be offering Marleaux bass guitars, handcrafted in Germany by Gerald Marleaux. 
 
I played this bass for a few minutes at the Mannheim show and I could see immediately that it is a TOTAL WINNER. In fact, this bass is so awesome that it made me decide to become a Marleaux dealer, just so I could bring this bass to the USA and put it in the hands of some VERY LUCKY person.  You will absolutely NOT be disappointed, that's for sure!  
It is EFFORTLESS to play, it feels SO good, and the tone is absolutely KILLER!   I love everything about this bass, and the build quality is phenomenal, absolutely flawless in every way.
 
It is strung with light gauge strings (.040's), so you can FLY around the fingerboard, bend, slap, and tap to your heart's content. So FUN! (In fact, if you can find any 4-string bass that is this much fun and sounds this good, let me know, I'll buy it!)
 
The German poplar body has a beautiful satin Lake Placid Blue Metallic finish that is virtually impervious to fingerprints and handling marks, so it will stay looking new forever.
The neck is German Sycamore Maple, and is topped with a Gabon Ebony fretboard from Cameroon.
 
Scale length is 34" and the string spacing is 19mm.
Nut width is 1.61" and 12th fret width is 2.24".
The weight is a mere 7 lbs. 6 oz. (7.4 lbs.), so this bass is comfortable enough to play all day and night, sitting or standing. That's good, because once you start playing it, you will have a hard time stopping.
